Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS FACE YOGA?
Face Yoga is a natural way of looking and feeling younger and healthier. It is a combination of facial exercises, face massage, face acupressure and relaxation.
What are the benefits of face yoga?
When practiced regularly, face yoga helps to prevent and slow down the signs of aging. The benefits include
Release tension, which can minimize the appearance of stress lines
Strengthen and tone facial muscles to ultimately widen eyes, raise cheeks, and firm up the jawline
Increase circulation and blood flow to the skin, which makes the skin glow
Smooth fine lines and wrinkles
Counter the effects of gravity
Reduce the appearance of scars
How often should I practice Face Yoga?
The most important thing is consistency. I recommend at least 10-20 minutes per day. I prefer to do 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night. Consistency over a long period of time is the most important thing to stress here!
Will Face Yoga exercises cause wrinkles?
Face yoga will definitely not cause wrinkles when done correctly, it will reduce them! It involves exercises with controlled resistance using all 3 layers of the skin together. We are constantly monitoring our faces throughout the exercises as well to make sure our faces remain smooth and we aren’t creating any unnecessary tension. It is important however that the techniques are learnt from a trained professional to ensure we follow the proper technique.
Have there been any studies done on Face Yoga?
A study by researchers at Northwestern University found that Facial exercises may significantly reduce some of the signs of aging and make you look around 3 years younger after 20 weeks of regular facial exercises. See link to the study below.

Who can do Face Yoga?
Face yoga is for both men and women of all ages.
Can I do face yoga after botox or fillers?
Whilst face yoga is a great alternative to botox or fillers, it can also be a wonderful compliment along side them as well. You can do face yoga after botox or fillers, however I would recommend you check with your doctor prior to starting face yoga if you have had surgery or injectables.
